"Wedgwood Jasperware Glass, Limited Edition Commemorative"
This Wedgwood Jasperware glass is in mint condition and is part of a limited edition, numbered 442 of 500 pieces produced. One side of the glass features the Bermuda Coat of Arms, while the other displays the obverse of the Great Seal of the United States (excluding the 13 stars in the blue cloud). The coat of arms is elegantly separated by garlands. A cube pattern with clusters of four green leaves adorns the base and bottom of the cup, with acanthus leaves along the upper rim. The cup is unglazed matte biscuit in a pale blue hue known as "Wedgwood Blue." Named after the naturally occurring mineral jasper, Wedgwood Jasperware is the result of thousands of individual experiments. The Jasperware technique was introduced to the public in 1775, pioneering the art and style of ceramics. For some 250 years, the neoclassical design of Jasperware has remained the most iconic creation of the English company Wedgwood. Some even describe this form of stoneware as the most important development in English ceramics and pottery since the invention of porcelain. This piece is in perfect condition with no signs of use. Dimensions of the piece: Height 12.5 cm, Weight 360 g. Please study the attached photographs carefully, as they form an integral part of this description.
