"The Ecstasy of Saint Cecilia" after Raphael (1514), engraved by Raimondi (1514). devotional plaque mainly by Castelli, it has been glued back together and restored, wax collection seal on the back of the piece. Saint Cecilia patron saint of luthiers, musicians and musical instrument makers. Saint Cecilia heard heavenly music at the time of her death which caused her ecstasy. Surrounded on the right by Saint John, Saint Paul (sword), on the left Augustine (mitre), and Mary Magdalene. Heavenly Heart at the top Cecilia's organ represents the instrument by which she translated the interior and spiritual-spiritual music. The instruments on the ground, broken, are the symbol of profane and earthly music.
