Louis XIV style center table in gilded wood, 19th century. In carved and gilded wood, this table with a set alabaster top is very decorative, it is worked on all its faces, the rich finely carved ornamentation takes up the repertoire from classicism found under the reign of Louis XIV but also in the last third of the 18th century under the reign of Louis XVI, with numerous motifs such as Ionic capitals and reversed Corinthians, interlacing, large shells, C-shaped scrolls, acanthus leaves, water leaves and bases. Beautiful quality furniture dating from the second half of the 19th century, Napoleon III period, original patinated gilding with some repairs and wear, the alabaster top is from the period, formerly restored in a very discreet manner, it is an alabaster from the Fauld mine in Staffordshire (England).
