Pair Of Large XVIIIth , XIXth Century Lion Consoles

Description:
Gilded carved wood.
We have a lion's muzzle on acanthus leaves bearing an Ionic capital baluster.
These consoles originally decorated a woodwork or opening uprights. This pair of consoles is in fact a Louis XIV period console and a 19th century console.
As is often the case, to reconstitute a pair or create it, the initial model was reproduced. The work was done in the ornamental spirit of the 18th century, if the sculptures are identical, the lions each look in an opposite direction, and the foliage scrolls in the lower part are also opposite, it is the attention to detail that is barely visible! The consoles have been regilded with leaf and plinth.

Condition:
Good condition, restored, the oldest console is narrower in depth. This is not visible in situ. Some old chips on the scrolls.
Custom bases have been made, their structure will also allow them to be easily mounted as lamp bases if necessary.
