He was born in Carrer Conde del Asalto (currently Nou de la Rambla) in Barcelona, studied at the Beaux-Arts in Llotja and in Paris and dedicaded himself to decorative painting. He created the ceiling panels for the proscenium of the Gran Teatre del Liceu, which are now, unfortunately, gone. In 1882, he was one of the artists invited to the first exhibition of the Academy of Fine Arts in Sabadell.
