"Louis XVI Style Chair In Cream Lacquered Wood, Hot Air Balloon Backrest, Napoleon III Period"
Pretty little Louis XVI style chair from the Napoleon III period, in cream-colored lacquered wood. This charming chair rests on four fluted tapered legs. The rounded belt is decorated all around with a ribboned frieze. The oval backrest with openwork work has the same pattern as the belt. It is also decorated in its central part with a pretty work called "Hot Air Balloon". The top of the backrest is decorated with a pretty flattened and leafy knot. The seat is in very good condition having been redone a few years ago, it is firm and very comfortable, the covering fabric is an old pink velvet, however, note some cat scratches on the front of the seat. We can see that this seat has been repainted several times, in fact we can see some flaking of the paint. It also bears old traces of wax. This seat has retained all its patina. Beautiful manufacture of great finesse from the Napoleon III period. Dimensions: backrest height 88 cm seat height 43 cm seat depth 39 cm total depth 43 cm width 40 cm Shipping costs contact us.
