Very beautiful Renaissance / Henri IV chest from the 17th century, transformed into a desk in the 19th century. Magnificent details are hand carved. The wood has a superb patina. Four Corinthian columns nicely adorn the front. This desk is elegant and practical. It opens with 2 doors and 3 drawers in the belt. The 2 doors open, the first on 3 vertical filing cabinets and a shelf; for the second on 4 removable compartments. The desk top is well patinated and still has nails. The desk is on feet (note: repair of the feet). Superb historical and French heritage piece
