"Louis XV Style Pastel Portrait After Van Loo - Very Rich Rocaille Frame In Gilded Wood "
French School of the 19th century, pastel portrait in the style of the 18th century, representing a beautiful aristocrat of the Louis XV period, after the work of Louis Michel Van Loo in 1727 - lady with a bird (the latter is not represented on our version). The work is signed by Adèle Michel and dated 1850. It is presented in a very rich wooden and stucco frame gilded with gold leaf in the Rocaille style dating from the end of the 19th century. Our painting is typical of the 18th century revival at the instigation of Empress Eugénie under the Second Empire. The set is perfect to complete a pure 18th or Napoleon III decor. Beautiful painting, very fresh in excellent condition, in a museum quality frame gilded with gold leaf, also in excellent condition. Frame: 75.5 x 90cm Painting: 48.2 x 62.5cm
