Important Vietnamese Ceramic Vase From The Bát-tràng Kilns Vietnam Asian Art China

Important baluster-shaped vase dating from the period 1880-1920 with decoration of immortals in relief, blue, white and ochre enamel on a yellowish cracked background, typical of the productions of the Bát-Tràng kilns in Vietnam.
Our vase is damaged, it is missing part of the front of the neck and pieces have already been glued back together, however its significant size and its wingspan make it a fairly rare and unique object, its decoration on the back completes the whole well, in fact we can see five bats flying around the shou symbol*.
*Shou, the Chinese symbol of longevity, is generally represented by a circle of "Wu Fu", or five bats.
These bats represent the five blessings of longevity: long life, good health, comfortable wealth, virtue and peaceful death.
This symbol appears on a stamp issued by China in 1894.
