This is a pastel on canvas, a portrait from the early 19th century representing a woman sitting on an armchair. The woman is wearing a period costume. You will notice a pretty expression on the face. The original frame is gilded with gold leaf gilding. The work is not signed but certainly the hand of an artist. For the condition, we note a fold on the canvas, on the left, some wear and friction. Traces on the inside, we have not opened the tile. We also note wear, friction, scratches and some losses on the frame. The work is sold, uncleaned, unrestored.
