Longwy Serving Dish Set With "botanique" Decor

Very beautiful set of 11 pieces intended for service, from the Botanique model created in 1893 by the Longwy factory. It is a magnificent decoration of foliage and flowers embellished with birds and butterflies. The tones are very soft, the brown decoration is placed on a cream background. The whole is very delicate because the graphics are very fine. The originality comes from the fact that all the foliage, all the flowers, all the birds and all the butterflies are different and arranged randomly on the pieces. We offer: 1 fairly large tureen, diameter 26 cm and height 18 whose lid is not notched which will therefore be easily used as a vegetable dish, 1 vegetable dish diameter 24.5 cm, height 13.5, 1 large oval dish length 40 cm, width 28, 1 salad bowl diameter 27 cm, height 10, 1 large round dish diameter 31.5 cm, 2 round dishes diameter 29 cm, 1 hollow round dish diameter 28.5 cm, 2 serving dishes length 26.5 cm, width 14, 1 sauce boat length 26 cm, width 15 cm, height 10. The set is in excellent condition, with a beautiful shine, without cracks or breaks. Only the sauce boat has a few brown marks inside. There is no doubt that you will want to match these serving pieces with beautiful ironstone plates in shades of carmine or reddish brown like the Floréal model by Hippolyte Boulenger (Choisy-le-Roi) or many others available at Grenier d'Alain.
