Rectangular elongated box in Baccarat crystal, solid silver lid, originally from a Napoleon III period dressing set, the format is now ideal for storing pens and pencils as a desk set. Mid-19th century around 1860. Elegant model in strong cut crystal with cut sides, guilloché silver lid with rocaille decoration decorated with a large Louis XV style cartouche in which is engraved a Count's crown, without monogram. The lid bears the Minerve hallmark, as well as a goldsmith's hallmark. A fine witness to the daily refinement of high society at the end of the 19th century or beginning of the 20th century.
