"A Large Impressive 19th Century Bronze Jewelry Casket Box. Circa 1860"
This large heavily cast bronze Jewelry box was made in France in the mid 19th century and is made in the form of a medieval coffer. It is superbly detailed with flowers Leaves Cherubs and decorative strapwork cast with very deep relief carving to every surface of the exteriér . It has a pair of carrying handles at the sides and a figurative early style lock. The lid opens to reveal the interior which has its original lining. Circa 1860
