Bronze sculpture depicting "DANCER" by G. Passaglia - Art Decó Splendid sculpture depicting a dancer. Signed on the base "G. Passaglia". GIULIO PASSAGLIA (Florence 1879 - 1956). Son of the famous artist from Lucca Augusto Passaglia. Author of "Benvenuto Cellini fanciullo" and of two doors on the façade of S. Maria del Fiore. From his father he inherited the love for the classical tradition. He was a professor at the Academy of Fine Arts in Florence, and from 10 February 1921 he was admitted to the class of resident sculptors. From 1913 to 1942 he exhibited at the regional art exhibitions of the national fascist union. In 1922 he presented a bronze portrait at the Fiorentina Spring. In 1929 he exhibited at the III Mostra Marinara "Venus Adriatica". Period: Art Deco Size: high cm. 48 (excluding marble base)
