"The Green Necklace. Emile Mesnager"
Gaspar Miro is a Catalan painter born in 1859 in Vilanova i la Geltru in a family of painters. He studied at the School of Fine Arts in Barcelona with the painter La Lonja. He taught for a while at the school of Vilanova before leaving Spain for Paris where he exhibited regularly. Described as a post-impressionist painter, his touch is lively, his colors warm, he paints many large cities but also landscapes and portraits.
