"Royal Order Of Romania "
Royal Order of the Crown of Romania instituted on 14 March 1881 by King Carol I (Charles de Hollezollen) to commemorate the establishment of the Kingdom of Romania. It is a knight’s badge with military title in enamel and gilt silver with its fastener and hallmarked ring.
The badge is formed of a red enamel cross to 8 branchs with white edges. This cross is framed between each branch by the sword and the crown. On the obverse, on the border is inscribed the motto "Prin Noi Inseme" (By ourselves) - 14 martie (March) 1881. The two interlaced letters C and the I were placed in the centre. The reverse side has the same layout as the obverse. Only the centre changes. It presents 3 dates in its borders: 1886 (referendum concerning the election of Charles de Hohenzollern-Sigmaringen as sovereign prince), 1877 (complete independence of Romania) and 1881 (proclamation of Charles I as King of Romania)  and in the center the mention "10 Maiu" (10 May) on the day of the coronation of Carol (Charles) Ier and the national holiday.
The insignia is surmounted by the royal crown of Romania.
