"Manuscripts Testimonies Of The Life Of The Bretons In The 18th Century"
MANUSCRIPTS DETAILS OF BRETONS IN THE 18TH CENTURY What emotion: I am probably too sensitive… I share my feelings with you: while handling these documents, arranging them by date, reading the prose more obvious than others, I have goosebumps: think, the one who wrote these parchments by hand has disappeared for more than 300 years or so and it is I who reads his prose. It was carefully preserved in a metal chest protected from light with 249 of its peers somewhere in a Breton castle. All these archives that tell us in many details about leases, inheritances, rents or complaints come from Brittany. An ancestor of the owner of the current castle must have been a notary, obviously. These precious documents form a rare collection, in very good condition. This collection will whet your succulent curiosity.
