Empire style bookcase in amboyna burl veneer and gilded bronze applications. It opens at the bottom with two doors revealing a large storage space, a leather-covered pull tab for placing books, and two glass doors at the top with storage shelves. The uprights decorated with busts and women's feet, bronze applications of famous people on the doors. A large blackened wooden net underlines the shape of the doors. Removable curtains on the glass doors. Good house condition, some micro veneer chips. This piece of furniture can be dismantled for delivery and installation. Period late 19th century around 1880.
