Object description :

"Mackinnon Sine – The Quays In Paris – Oil On Canvas – Circa 1950 - Signed"
The work depicts the Pont au Change, in front of the Conciergerie, in Paris. The composition is dominated by blue and golden yellow tones. In the foreground, a tree adorned with its autumn colours occupies a major place. In the background on the left, we can see the Conciergerie tower. On the right, the Parisian buildings and their famous zinc roofs. The sky reveals large masses of clouds. The whole is dynamic and characteristic of the figurative painting of the period (1940s – 50s).
The work is signed lower right.
t is clean, without any retouching, in excellent condition. It is offered in a beautiful Montparnasse-type frame, also in excellent condition. The frame perfectly highlights the bright and expressive colours of the painting.
