"Jaeger-lecoultre Type IV Atmos Clock, Caliber 532"
Jaeger-LeCoultre Atmos clock from a fairly unusual series. This is an old model, with flame-blued screws and a very warm, honey-colored gold finish. The Atmos IV cal. 532 was produced in a few copies between 1953 and 55. Identical in size, its cabinet nevertheless differs in all respects from the Atmos V. No part is interchangeable with the caliber that followed (Atmos V 1955-1984). The door, bordered by diamond-point bosses, is framed in brushed brass all around and has its button in the middle on the left. The glass is held there at the four corners by screws. The uprights have a protruding angle. The dial, originally silvered, has oxidized to light brown.
This amazing Atmos, honey gold - glazed brown - blue screws, presents a rare and fragile chromatic harmony that betrays the age of the model. The gilded cabinet is in good condition, with few defects and a well-preserved original varnish, both inside and on the mechanism. It has been revised (by Atmos-Service) and is guaranteed for two years. The gas capsule is dated February 1, 1955. It is perfect.
