Louis XVI Clock "venus And Triumphant Love" Gilded Bronze

Chamber clock, allegory of Venus and love in bronze, rich mercury gilding on a Carrara marble base. It is flanked by its pair of gilded bronze candelabra with two light arms. Resting on a Carrara marble base topped with a twisted central pillar ending with a pine cone, surrounded by four pilasters based on acanthus leaves. The light arms are curved and finished with their original bobeches and sockets. The enameled dial is domed, with Louis XVI gilded openwork hands, it is protected by a domed glass porthole like the one that protects the mechanism at the back! The mechanism is functional, it has been revised, with its period pendulum and key! The mercury gilding is in excellent condition as well as the white marble base which does not have any chips.
