Functional furniture of elegant simplicity, fits perfectly into contemporary decors. In very good condition and available. Willy Rizzo (1922 - 2013) is an Italian-French photographer and designer. He photographed the biggest stars until the end of the 60s (Marilyn Monroe, Yves Saint Laurent, Pierre Cardin, Picasso, Brigitte Bardot, Marlene Dietrich or Jack Nicholson, who had become one of his best friends, a few names among many others) In 1966, during a stay in Rome, on a whim, he decided to buy an apartment there and completely redid it, he designed his own furniture. Willy Rizzo invited his friends who paraded in his Roman pied-à-terre, fell under the spell of his creations.
The orders poured in and the demand quickly became such that he set up his company in 1968. In a few years, he designed around thirty pieces of furniture, a mixture of classic and modern, straight lines and bold curves, furniture with the same timelessness as his images. All the Jet Set and wealthy Italian high society placed orders with Mr. Rizzo.
Willy Rizzo has always loved beautiful things and beautiful antiques, he knew how to create contemporary furniture that fit perfectly into the old. Simple lines with geometric shapes marked in carefully chosen materials. He favors materials such as wood, marble, brass, stainless steel.
