18th Century French School, Portrait Of An Aristocrat From The Louis XV Period

French School of the 18th century, portrait of an aristocratic lady, oil on canvas. Dressed in a yellow lace dress and a blue cape. She wears around her neck and on the top of her head, bows of blue ribbons. The portrait is from the Louis XV period, in a carved oak frame gilded with gold leaf from the Louis XVI period. Pretty portrait, the lady is beautiful, well painted. The 18th century frame is of fine craftsmanship, probably the original. The hanging on the mirror is a suggestion of elegant presentation, the mirror is sold separately. Good general condition, portrait cleaned, relined. Wooden frame gilded with gold leaf which has retained its original gilding a little faded. Dimensions of the frame 78 x 65cm
