Majolica Dish From Deruta, 17th Century Formerly Forming A Presentation Dish On A Pedestal.
It Presented A Decor Of Fantastic Animals Arranged In Semicircles And Themselves Separated By An Imaginary Floral Decor.
In The Center In A Medallion Appears A Love: Eros Or Cupid In A Landscape.
each Of The Registers Are Separated By Hatched Yellow Borders That Are Found On The Edge Of The Dish.
On The Back We Can See Circular Traces In The Enamel As Well As The Earth Itself In The Center.
We Can Suppose That This Large Dish Was Intended To Become A Tazza Or To Be Placed On A Pedestal. In Fact It Is Probably An Old Tazza To Which The Pedestal Is Missing.
The General Condition Is Good Despite Some Chips.
