Louis XVI Period Console Table In Carved And Gilded Wood.

Elegant model of a neoclassical half-moon shaped wall console, Parisian work from the Louis XVI period of fine quality on a richly carved oak frame with a motif inspired by Antique architecture, this console is also very rich in its decoration with fluting, water leaves, channels, interlacing, rosettes, flower vases, drapes, knots and flower garlands. We note the finesse of the sculpted decorations as well as the reparure as well as the lightness thanks to the flower garlands falling from the band as well as the fine openwork work highlighting the interlacing on this same belt. Original frame, gilding and marble, some restorations of use to the frame as well as some restorations to the gilding, all in good condition with solid structure, the rear crosspiece is pierced with two holes to fix it to the wall. The marble is in perfect condition, very thick, it is cut with the projections following the shape of the piece of furniture, it is also molded with a quarter-round groove.
