"Flamen Fleury Porcelain Inkwell Paris 19th Century"
Rare Paris porcelain inkwell by Flamen Fleury from the early 19th century, circa 1810-1820 This factory only worked and produced from 1803 to 1835, which makes its production rare objects. This beautiful inkwell is decorated with two hand-painted scenes on its two large faces: one represents an equestrian walk in the countryside, the other is an evocation of the Battle of Trafalgar in 1805. This porcelain is in very good condition, note only two small chips, on the lion's paw foot and under one edge. The sometimes faded gilding remains very present. The powder cup is also cracked around its edge. The two small sides are enameled royal blue. Signature perfectly legible below. Beautiful object for Empire enthusiasts.
