Further information :
Ludovic Alleaume studied at the Beaux-Arts under Ernest Hébert and Luc-Olivier Merson. He was quickly introduced to the Salon, receiving an honorable mention in 1900 and a medal in 1905 for his painting Soir d'été. At the same time, he exhibited at the famous Georges Petit gallery, where his work was well received by the public. Female subjects form a major part of his work, enabling him to demonstrate his mastery of drawing, which oscillates between academicism and modernity.
