After his premature death, the Bordeaux museum bought a View of Cairo, and the Brussels museum bought Ruins of Thebes. But if Léonce Chabry stands out for his orientalist works, he remains nonetheless attached to his native country. This view of the Arcachon basin is evidence of this.
