London 1798 - Charles Chesterman This lovely silver wine goblet is in excellent condition with clear hallmarks and the original bright gilding inside the bowl. A fine antique Georgian sterling silver drinking goblet has a plain circular bell shaped form to a waisted pedestal onto a circular foot and base. The upper rim of the goblet is embellished with a bright cut engraved band of fruiting and foliate ornamentation, flanked between undulating borders. This impressive example of Georgian silverware has a gilded interior. The front of this superb goblet is engraved with a vacant cartouche. Made in London in 1798. The dimensions of this fine hand-made antique silver goblet is height 14.7 cms (5 3/4 inches), diameter at top 8.3 cms (3 1/4 inches), and it's total weight is approx. 174.9g (5.59 troy ounces).This is presented in superb faultless condition and ready for immediate use.
