Royal Copenhagen Musselmalet Blue Fluted Seated Cat Porcelain Figurine

This gorgeous Danish white glossy porcelain kitty features Royal Copenhagen's popular Blue Fluted (Musselmalet) motif on its back. The hand-painted blue decoration includes delicate floral and foliate details, with a long sprig positioned to appear as if it is dangling from the cat's mouth. The eyes are accented in blue. The molded features are lifelike, making this a beautiful ornament that would complement a collection of vintage Royal Copenhagen china or serve as a standout piece on its own.
The base is clearly marked with a green stamp saying “Royal Copenhagen Denmark.” The bar over the "R" and "Y" in the word "Royal" dates the production of the cat to between 1992 and 1999. There is also a hand-painted blue mark, which is the artist's signature.
