"Alphonse Debain : Rare Service Of 6 Cups & Saucers In Sterling Silver And Vermeil St. Neogothic"
Exceptional and Rare Neo-Gothic style Solid Silver Service composed of its 6 Cups with their Saucers. The cups are monogrammed, with interiors in Vermeil (Gold on Silver). Masterly crafted from the highest quality silver, each piece is punched with the Minerva Hallmark 1st Standard (.950) and mark of Master Goldsmith Alphonse DEBAIN (Hallmark with the initials "AD" and a woodcock) active in 1883.
This exceptional service with rare Neo-Gothic style decoration is in excellent condition, revised and cleaned by our Goldsmith, and just light signs of use to note. Designed and finely crafted to grace the finest of tables ...

Alphonse Debain was a particularly innovative and efficient Goldsmith at the end of the 19th century, which allowed him to be noticed at the Universal Exhibition in Paris in 1889 for his many creations, for which he received a Gold Medal. At the 1900 Exhibition, as a member of the Jury he was therefore out of the competition, thought it did not prevent him from exhibiting and achieving great success, and many of his workers were rewarded.
