A serving platter with a wavy shape and polylobed edges, signed Cardeilhac Paris. The platter features a rocaille decor of stylized foliage around the edge and floral branches. The handles are finely engraved with foliage.
Dating from the early 20th century.
This platter is in good overall condition. There are some micro scratches from use on the bottom, as well as wear from age. The silver plating is worn on the raised areas, revealing bronze tones on the flowers, giving it a beautiful antique patina.

Maison Cardeilhac (Paris 1804-1951)
Cutlery and silverware, 91 rue de Rivoli, Paris. Established in 1804 by Antoine-Vital Cardeilhac and specialized in cutlery and flatware, the company was led from 1851 to 1904 by his son Armand-Edouard Cardeilhac, and from 1885, by his grandson Ernest Cardeilhac (1851-1904). Ernest acquired the Lebon company. In 1904, Ernest Cardeilhac's two sons, James and Peter (who died in 1944), succeeded him. The company was merged with Christofle in 1951.
