Exceptional large Sterling Silver Sauce Boat resting on its attached tray. The oval shaped tray with a gadrooned border is richly decorated with leafy scrolls and grapes on a textured ground , and the sauce boat features 2 fluted pouring spouts and the same charming decor as the tray. Two magnificent handles with pierced intertwining decor frame the spectacular Mascarons.
Masterfully hand crafted from the highest quality silver, it is punched with Minerva 1st Standard (.950) hallmarks, mark of prestigious Master Goldsmith Armand-Edouard CARDEILHAC (Hallmark with the initials "EC", a crescent below and a crowned cross of honor) active in 1851, and his Signature in full letters "CARDEILHAC Paris". This exceptional sauce boat with its striking decoration is in excellent condition, also revised and cleaned by our Goldsmith, and only light signs of use to note.
