Round, rifled barrels, marked on the top band: MERWIN HULBERT & Co. NEW YORK USA / PAT. APR. 17.77 JUNE 15.80 MAR.14.82 JAN.9.83, on two lines. Half-moon handlebars.
Hollow five-chamber barrels, engraved, gilded with five friezes set with red pearls. Numbered 1793 & 1804 respectively.
Carcasses marked 38CAL. The parts are numbered consecutively.
Push-button opening, lateral tilting, horizontal sliding.
Loading doors missing.
Full mother-of-pearl stock plates (screw heads in poor condition). Bird's head grip handles.
These revolvers are fully engraved with leaves, garlands and geometric figures. One is engraved on the left side with a dog and the other with a bird on a branch. One is 60% nickel-plated, the other 40%.
Good mechanical behavior, clean barrels.
Presented in their original black leather-covered wooden case (missing); the interior is lined with burgundy satin, with two tassels.
