A gold ring with a Renaissance sardonyx cameo of a Muse.

Italian, 16th century.

Mounted in an unmarked high carat gold ring which dates to the 19th century.

Ring size S 1/2 UK / 9.25 US.

The cameo measures 1.5 x 1.2cm. 
 
Weighs 6.1 grams.

The surface of the stone remains in crisp and fine condition, however the nose and forehead are chipped and there is some chipping to the outer extremities.
