Beautiful large jug , about 10 liters,red ochre glazed earthenware, rich decoration ofbright sunlight, surrounded by concentric scrolls, painted with cream-colored slip and well glazed, on back, wide and solid handle, round spout connected to body by one ring, ringed upper edge.
Bresse, Val de Saône, late 18th or early 19th century.
Thispottery has been used, no breakage, no chips or cracks, but many scars from use, and partial lacksof enamels.
