Rare 18th century solid silver Angevin Wine Taster of plain model with snake grip. Border engraved "NICOLAS DELAUNE . METEIR". Well-hallmarked piece (body and handle) with the Charge and Discharge Hallmarks for ANGERS 1750-56, Jurande Hallmarks for ANGERS 1755-56 (date letter "K") and the Hallmarks of Master Goldsmith Louis-Claude BORDEREAU DES BROSSES (Hallmark with the initials "LB" and crowned key) received in 1742. Elected Guard of the Angevin Goldsmiths in 1750-51. This rare Angevin wine taster is in very good condition and well-hallmarked, micro-scratches from use. For the discerning collector ...
