Rare Louis XV period solid silver tulip form goblet from Champagne resting on a foot with a gadroon border. Plain body with fillets under the neck and engraved "M. CHENEU AD". Well-hallmarked piece (body and foot) with the Countermarks Hallmarks (crowned tower and crowned fleur-de-lys) of the Sous-Fermier of SAINTE-MENEHOULD noted from 1746 to 1775, Hallmark of the Common House for SAINTE-MENEHOULD circa 1764-66 (Crowned L) and Hallmark of the Master Goldsmith Jean-Joachim JOUETTE received in 1759.
