Object description :

"Marine Painting By Joseph Guichard, 19th Century. Sunset. "
Oil painting on wood panel from the 19th century by Joseph Guichard. Joseph Guichard, born in Lyon in 1806 and died in the same city in 1880, was a very good painter of the 19th century. He was a student of Eugène Delacroix with whom he shared a taste for dreams, legends and romanticism. Later a student of Dominique Ingres with whom he shared a taste and demand for drawing. He participated in the Salon of 1831 and 1833. Traveled to Italy from 33 to 35. Significantly influenced by Turner. Here is a remarkable work where we can note all these influences. Very high quality, particularly in the details. Signature at the bottom left. Possibility of sending to France and around the world by secure and insured package. Invoice and certificate provided.
