Object description :

"Burgundy Cuvot - 17th Century"
WASHING TUB
17th century period
These stone washing tubs were installed in the kitchen or nearby to do the laundry.
These pieces of stone were cut from a monolithic block by hand.
Writings describe the slow work of the stonemasons.
This tub represents several weeks of labor without Saturday or Sunday.
Height: 92 cm
Diameter: 83 cm
Weight: 680 kg
This tub where women still soaked their laundry a century ago, is not intended to receive flowers ... or other decorative plants.
It is sufficient in itself and does not need to be decorated with colorful decorations ...

We can organize transport and delivery wherever you live.
