"Landscape By Henri Brugnot"
Landscape depicting a village perched on top of a hill and located at the foot of a river. The village may be located near Uzès where the painter settled in the last years of his life. It is a pastel on paper of a large format: (94 cm X 42 cm): the painter used two sheets for the composition. Well-constructed pastel in warm colors signed H. Brugnot and dated 36 Henri Brugnot (1874-1940) was a student of Gustave Moreau and received an honorable mention at the Salon des Artistes in 1901. The pastel is elegantly highlighted in a gilded wooden frame with wide edges. Dim with the frame: 108 cm X 56 cm Delivery at the buyer's expense
