"Chestnut Bonnetiere: Berle Du Cantal."
Exceptional chestnut bonnet or Berle. 1950 years. Origin Cantal, Riom-és-Montagnes. The body of the piece of furniture is hollowed out of a round tree trunk and rests on 3 small scalloped feet. The monoxyl door (only 1 board) is carved with stylized floral motifs (daisies). The crosspieces are decorated, in the upper part, with 2 stylized branches perhaps symbolizing marriage, and the lower part with work reminiscent of a 1/2 scallop shell. Back of the piece of furniture (rear) reported. Rustic piece of furniture with hinged and lugged ironwork. Traces of wear. Very good condition. Signed in the bottom of the piece of furniture at the top right "JE".
