Important Vestibule Lantern In Gilt Bronze And Double-curved Glass
Large pentagonal vestibule lantern in gilded bronze in the Transition style with 5 light arms. It opens with a small keyed gate. The 5 faces are double-arched decorated with an acanthus leaf at the top. The 5 uprights are decorated with gilded bronze falls on the top and bottom. The bronze belt, animated, is decorated with 5 leafy motifs. The 5 double-curved windows (rare) are in good general condition but 2 of them have a small crack. 5 small pine cones act as feet and are placed at the bottom of each upright. 5 gilded bronze arms meet above the lantern around a disc.
