18th Century Wedding Waffle Iron. Oublies Du Perche Mold.

Wedding wafer mold dated 1779 from the Perche region. Both plates are rimless, this is mainly what differentiates the wafer or wafer mold from the waffle mold. The Perche has a reputation for these wafer molds with abundant decoration of symbols: Cross in station, radiant sun, heart for the wedding gift, Maltese cross sign of universal expansion, trees of life evoking eternal glory, initials, maxims and number for dating.
