Large oval silver sauce boat, it rests on a contoured pedestal, the handles with scrolls highlighted with shells on matte backgrounds, by the master goldsmith Edmé Pierre Balzac, Paris 1768-1769. Edmé Pierre Balzac was received as a master goldsmith in Paris on July 4, 1739. He was named privileged goldsmith according to the court. Weight 399g - length 21.7 cm - width 12.5 cm - height 11 cm Condition, good, this sauce boat is in its original condition with a few small shocks and scratches from use, it has not been repolished. It has retained its patina of the time. No engraving. It is very well hallmarked. It is large and comfortable.
