Rare pair of Louis XIII style candlesticks, in silver-plated metal, certainly reproducing a period model, of high quality. Indeed the oval bases, decorated with leathers and macaroons, are faithful to the Mainerist decorative register, and the cherubs have an archaic morphology. Likewise the bobeches in cut foliage, are in the same vein. Certainly re-silvered, they are in bronze. Perfect presentation condition.
