"Buffet d'Entre Deux In ! Copper !, Charles X Period Circa 1830"
This piece of furniture is absolutely unique. It embodies a classic half-cabinet of Charles X, made of copper with masterful quality. The surface is decorated with bronze applications. The construction of the body is made of iron and iron sheet on which the outer skin of copper extends. The finishing of the details, especially the curved side pilasters, was carried out by a genius who mastered copper to perfection. On the side there is a safe-type door that closes an inserted compartment. This unique piece of furniture, which clearly dates from the time of Charles X around 1830, should probably be unique because it does not have its own character adapted to the material, but because it copies down to the smallest details one of the many models of this furniture generally made of mahogany. We believe that it is a museum testimony to French craftsmanship from the first half of the 19th century. HD photos will be available
