"Console Carved With Grotesque Heads, End Of The 19th Century "
Small Console Henri II With Grotesque Heads 19th Century.
Charming little console between two in oak decorated with grotesque heads. A console with charming proportions, very easy to place.
This small console is half-moon shaped, it is made of oak with a very beautiful original patina. The top is molded with a corbin beak taken up in sculpture with a frieze decoration. The belt is very finely carved with a large garland of flowers and fruits. The base is nicely carved with asymmetrical grotesque heads, each very different and one sticking out its tongue. In their continuity the feet are carved with garlands of flowers and fruits as well as bunches of grapes. The feet end with ungulate hooves, doe feet. The curve of the two feet on the front is very harmonious.

Dimensions:
62 cm wide by 30 cm deep and 80 cm high.

Charming proportions for a Napoleon console IlI taking up the Henri II style, very decorative and nicely sculpted with its original patina.
