Signature: Dupont in Paris, both on the dial and on the back of the timepiece.
Dupont worked on the rue de Dauphine in Paris from 1739 to 1755.
This information can be found in the Horloges Française dictionary by Tardy on page 207.
The movement is an 8-day spiral movement with a rope pendulum and signature on the plate.
Striking mechanism for the full and half hours on a silver bell. A richly decorated cartel with beautiful original gilding, Diane above the cartel and a parrot below
