"Pair Of Candelabra With Putti And Lions' Muzzles, Bronze, Candlesticks, 19th Century"
Superb pair of candelabra each lighting with three lights, in gilded bronze, made around 1900. Magnificent ornamentation of putti each supporting an arm of light. The central shaft is decorated with laurel wreaths covered with a beautiful drape joining each the wings of a cherub; it is topped with an openwork frieze (taken up in the base of the light fixture) and topped with a magnificently moving flame. The central part is composed of a very finely chiseled bronze disc. Finally, the base of our candlesticks is openwork and chiseled, it is decorated with mascarons with lions' muzzles on a draped background and surrounded by garlands of fruit. Very beautiful creation, extremely refined set giving a feeling of opulence and elegance. These candlesticks are in good condition. Note, one of the arms moves very slightly and may need to be tightened.
